Refreshing Summer Sorbet



This refreshing sorbet is the perfect summer dessert, bursting with the flavors of fresh mixed berries and zesty lemon. It's light, fruity, and oh-so-satisfying on a hot day.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh mixed berries strawberries, raspberries, blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine sugar, lemon juice, and water over medium heat

Stir until sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and let it cool

Puree the mixed berries in a blender or food processor until smooth

Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired

Combine the berry puree with the cooled sugar syrup

Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for 1-2 hours

After the initial freezing, use a fork to scrape and stir the mixture every 30 minutes until it reaches desired sorbet consistency, about 3-4 hours total

Serve scoops of sorbet in chilled bowls and garnish with fresh berries
