This quick and easy chili recipe is perfect for busy days. Simply brown the beef and veggies, then let your slow cooker do the rest of the work. The result is a hearty and flavorful chili that's sure to please the whole family.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 14
- 5 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
- 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Brown the ground beef in a pan over medium-low heat until it's no longer pink
Get rid of extra fat
To the pan, add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic
Make sure the vegetables are soft
Put the vegetables and beef that have been cooked in a slow cooker
Put kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker
Also add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce
Use a stir to mix
Put the lid on top and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours
Top it off with your favorite things, like sour cream, chopped green onions, fresh cilantro, or shredded cheese, and serve hot
