Chewy Chocolate Cookies



For people who are on a paleo, nut-free, egg-free, or seed-free diet, these chewy chocolate cookies are ideal. They have a strong chocolate flavor and are naturally sweetened with coconut flour and sugar. Savor them guilt-free as a treat!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

In a large mixing bowl, combine coconut flour, cacao powder, coconut sugar, baking soda, and salt

Add melted coconut oil, applesauce, coconut milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients

Mix until well combined

If using, fold in dairy-free chocolate chips

Form dough into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet

Flatten each ball slightly with your fingers

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
