Bacon Cheeseburger Chili



A hearty and tasty chili made with ground beef, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and traditional chili seasonings that tastes like a bacon cheeseburger.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can 14
  • 5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, for topping
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, sour cream

Instructions:

Boil the bacon in a big pot or Dutch oven for a while until it gets crispy

Take the bacon out of the pot and set it aside

Leave the bacon grease in the pot

Put the ground beef into the pot with the bacon grease

Use a spoon to break it up as it cooks until it turns brown

Put the minced garlic and diced onion into the pot with the ground beef

Let the onion cook until it's soft and clear

Beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper should all be mixed in with the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce

Once the chili starts to simmer, lower the heat and leave it alone for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every now and then

Add shredded cheddar cheese, crispy bacon bits, or any other toppings you like to the chili while it's still hot
